This free tool makes printable practice sheets for the Japanese kana scripts, hiragana and katakana. It is run by panda studio.

Privacy

Sheets are generated entirely in your browser. No account, no cookies, no analytics, and nothing you type is sent to a server.

This site does not show ads or affiliate links at the moment. If we add them, they will be clearly labeled (for example "our book" or "affiliate link"), and this page will be updated first.

Stroke order

The stroke order diagrams were drawn for this site and follow the stroke order commonly taught in Japanese schools. Some fonts join or separate strokes differently from handwriting (for example き and り); the diagrams show the handwritten form.
